"Golden Lane" is a group of musicians from the SE New England area who specialize in
performing the lively dance music of Ireland (jigs, reels, etc.)
in a traditional style. They also perform songs (in English and Gaelic).

The group's performances are always "family-friendly" and interaction with the
audience (e.g. questions about the music or the instruments, kids dancing, clapping/foot-tapping)
is welcome.

Colin, Pat, and Bill performed as "The Golden Lane Trio" at the
Quincy Public Library on Sunday March 17 (St. Patrick's Day).
As far as we can tell, everybody had a great time!

Recent performances include library gigs in Mattapoisett, Wareham, Harwich,
and West Falmouth; First Night Sandwich; and for the past two summers Cape Cod Canal cruises
aboard the mv VIKING. Members of the group also host other musicians
at the regular Thursday evening session held at the Olde Inne in West Dennis.

For 2019, the group will be performing on two HyLine Canal Cruises (July 14
and August 25), at the New Bedford Folk Festival (July 6), and
at the TD Bank Concert Series in Falmouth (July 12).

Out of respect for the music and for their audience demographic,
the group avoids the indoor use of amplification wherever possible.

They do however have a sound system available for outdoor performances.
